Welcome aboard the R/V Reid W. Harris, a research vessel operated by the Coastal Resources Division. This 54-foot trawling vessel conducts the Ecological Monitoring Trawl Survey at 36 fixed sites along the Georgia Coast. Data collected by the crew are used in commercial and recreational fisheries management, including decisions about when Georgia's commercial and recreational shrimping season opens and closes.
