Bring your four-legged family member along to Georgia's State Parks and you’ll see a wagging tail the whole time. Dogs are welcome on state park trails except specific hikes at Tallulah Gorge and Panola Mountain, and you'll find a fenced dog park at Laura S. Walker State Park. Some parks even offer ranger-led dog hikes where you and your pet can meet new friends.
Dogs are allowed in tent/RV campgrounds and in select cottages with advance reservations. Pets are not allowed inside most historic site buildings. Owners must be with their pets at all times and should always pick up after them. Find out more about traveling with pets at Georgia State Parks.
