The Marine Education and Outreach Unit of the Coastal Resources Division (CRD) is dedicated to promoting the sustainable use of coastal resources through education, outreach, and stakeholder engagement. The unit enhances public awareness of marine conservation and recreation by hosting fishing clinics, school programs, and community events.

It fosters a conservation ethic by collaborating with partner organizations, developing educational materials, and leveraging media campaigns. Through targeted outreach efforts, the unit aims to increase public participation in marine-related activities, ensuring that Georgia’s coastal resources are understood, appreciated, and conserved for future generations.
