Are ATVs and off-road vehicles allowed in state parks?
ATVs and off-road vehicles are not allowed in state parks. All vehicles are subject to license safety requirements and regulations of the Georgia Department of Public Safety. Park roads are public roads.
Are E-Bikes Allowed?
Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on roadways and trails that also allow bicycles. State law requires that riders 15 and younger must wear a helmet.

Is Lake Allatoona, Lake Lanier, or Stone Mountain owned by the state of Georgia?
Lake Allatoona is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers at Red Top Mountain State Park, Lake Lanier is operated by the KSL Recreation Corporation and Stone Mountain is operated by Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation. This means that these properties do not fall under state park rules and regulations.
Pets
Dogs are welcome at state parks and campgrounds if leashed (no longer than six feet) and accompanied by the owner at all times. Dogs are allowed in select "dog friendly" cottages with advance reservations. A fee per dog (limit 2) is charged. All state parks that offer cottages have at least one cottage that allows dogs. Kennels are not available. Owners should clean up after pets. Read more about pets in state parks.
