The best way to get into birding is to attend one of the programs we occasionally host for beginners. We also have citizen science programs that focus on bird counts that are useful for learning about the hobby.

The best places for birding at the park are on the nature trails near the campground or the banks on Lake Brantley and Lake Rutledge. To begin, all you really need is a pair of binoculars and a field guide!
