Green Infrastructure/LID Training

Bioretention Construction- October 9th, 2019

Please join us for our third Low Impact Development/Green Infrastructure Training this year focusing on the construction phase of these practices. Bioretention practices will be the focus of the training and presentations will include information on construction sequencing, contractor coordination, construction oversight, and vegetation planning, purchasing and maintenance. We will also be visiting a recently completed project including bioretention and permeable pavement. Lunch will be provided and CEUs will be available.

The training will be held at the St Marys Welcome Center from 9am-12:30pm.  Registration will be limited and is required for all participants.  Please register online HERE.

COMPLETE-Bioretention Design- August 14th, 2019

Please join us for the Bioretention Design Training on August 14th, 2019 on Jekyll Island from 9am-4pm.  The agenda will include hands on design activities as well as an afternoon site tour of nearby bioretention applications.  This training will discuss the components of designing a bioretention area in greater detail than previous trainings.  Lunch will be provided. Registration will be limited and is required for all participants.  Please register online HERE.

COMPLETE-Permeable Pavement Training- June 11th, 2019 @ The Desoto Savannah

The Georgia Coastal Management Program is hosting a Permeable Pavement Training on June 11th, 2019 at the DeSoto Hotel in Savannah.  The training will include Exhibitors, Technical Presentations, Panel Session Discussion, and a local area BMP Site Tour. 

This training will be beneficial for stormwater practitioners including engineers, inspectors, public works personnel, landscape architects and design and planning staff.  This training will also provide an opportunity to earn continuing education credits that will be available for self reporting.

Exhibitors will have an opportunity to share their product and/or installation services at a display table and may also provide examples and product demonstrations.  Panel Session presenters will be available to discuss some of the success stories, challenges and needs for coastal permeable pavement projects.  

The draft agenda can be viewed by clicking HERE and includes the Exhibition opening at 8:30am and technical presentations and panel sessions following until lunch.  There will be an optional site tour in the afternoon. Attendees will have additional opportunities to visit the Exhibition tables throughout breaks and during lunch before departing on our site tour in the afternoon.

Registration is required for all participants and will open HERE on May 10th.  Registration fee will be $45 for training and tour, $40 for training only, and waived for Panelists and Exhibitors.  There will be limited seats on the afternoon BMP Site Tour so be sure to register early to secure your spot!  If you are a Panelist or Exhibitor you still must register to indicate your preference for attending the BMP Site Tour.
