Public Comments Being Accepted: Draft Environmental Assessment, Honey Creek Public Boating Access, Waverly, Camden Co., Ga.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division and Camden County are proposing to build a public access facility at the end of Episcopal Church Road where it meets Honey Creek. The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires an Environmental Assessment be prepared because of the need for a Federal Permit and partial Federal Funding. 

The Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) can be downloaded by clicking here. The public is invited to review the Draft EA and provide public comment. The public comments will be included in the EA when it is submitted to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The public comment period ends at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025.
