Beach Week: The Coastal Resources Division of DNR's free, family-friendly, annual event aimed at educating the public about the state’s coastal ecosystems.
Beach Week offers attendees the opportunity to engage with interactive educational displays, meet with representatives from various partner agencies and divisions of the DNR, and observe live marine life exhibits. The event aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Georgia’s coastal environments. Typically, the events of beach week are held on Jekyll Island, Saint Simons Island, and Tybee Island.

What to Expect:
Interactive Exhibits:
Meet representatives from local, state, and federal environmental agencies and other nongovernmental organizations. Learn about marine life, coastal ecosystems, and conservation efforts through hands-on displays and engaging presentations.
Demonstrations:
Keep your eyes peeled while you're on the beach for demonstrations led by CRD staff, such as seine netting. Oftentimes these are done throughout the day, and the public are encouraged to participate and interact with staff through these demonstrations.
