UGA Marine Extension honors CRD green growth specialist’s partnership

The University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant recently announced Kelly Hill, CRD green growth specialist, as the recipient of their inaugural Outstanding Partner Award. This new distinction recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant's mission of improving the environmental, social, and economic health of Georgia’s coast through research, education and extension.

Hill has consistently partnered with UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, including them on projects like the recently re-vamped Georgia Clean Marina program, updates for the Coastal Stormwater Supplement to the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual, and Coastal Low Impact Development Inventory. Through her expertise in green growth principles and tireless efforts in fostering coastal community resilience, she has played a pivotal role in advancing critical initiatives. Her collaborative spirit and dedication to knowledge sharing have empowered countless coastal residents and stakeholders to adopt sustainable practices that safeguard the health and prosperity of Georgia’s marine environment.
