The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) hosted two town hall meetings in June 2022 for the public to learn and ask questions about the results of a recent saltwater fishing satisfaction survey with a particular focus on the red drum fishery.
The town halls were held June 6 at Georgia Southern University, Armstrong Center in Savannah, and June 9 at the Brunswick Library in Brunswick. The meetings included a presentation on the survey’s findings and a question-and-answer session with marine biologists and staffers from DNR’s Coastal Resources Division (CRD), which commissioned the survey.
